Passion in HIV

Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Wednesday and we have almost made it through the middle of another work week. I hope you have been having a safe and great week so far.

Unless you have been hiding under a rock, you know Dame Elizabeth Taylor passed away recently. While she was known as a movie star, one of the most beautiful women in the world and a great business woman; she is best known for her passionate work for people with HIV and AIDS.

Elizabeth discusses HIV and how it was considered a "gay disease" and that in truth, it affects EVERYONE. She also comments about the fact that the United States is wrong for not taking control of the situation. Amazing how her words ring true to this day.

The following is a video of one of the many interviews Elizabeth gave about HIV and AIDS:

Now that Elizabeth is gone, who will know fill her shoes as an international voice for those with HIV and AIDS. Will the person be another celebrity OR will the person be someone with HIV and AIDS?

No disrespect is directed toward Elizabeth in the previous statement. What I am saying it is time for people with HIV and AIDS to stop hiding, use their own voice and stand up for themselves.

But those are my thoughts. What about yours? Drop me a line and let me know.

Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
