Opposition to Lowering of Eligibility for Ryan White Funding

Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Wednesday and we have almost made it through the middle of another work week. I hope you are having a safe and great week so far.

Dab the AIDS Bear and I are on the move working against Governor Scott lowering Ryan White eligibility from 400 percent of the federal poverty level to 200 percent of the federal poverty level. We have been on the phone most of the day with other activists, local and national organizations and AIDS Health Care Foundation.

If you read the blogs from the past couple of days, you know about the problems of lowering Ryan White eligibility and the first meeting we had with the Florida Department of Health in Tallahassee.

Below is a slide show of pictures taken at the event in Tallahassee on Monday:

I hope you enjoyed the slide show. To me, the most powerful images were the signs people brought with them to the meeting. I wish I had been able to record the stories and testimonies of the people living with HIV and AIDS who will lose their benefits. Hopefully, I will be able to do so at the next meeting.

Hope you have a great Wednesday. Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
