Can This Be Reused?
Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Saturday and I hope you had a safe and great week. It was a very long and stressful one for Dab the AIDS Bear and me.
My partner, Todd, had been in Imperial Point Hospital and has just been allowed to come home for the weekend before going back on Monday for more testing. He is tired, in pain and frustrated that the doctors did not accomplish more in the past week. I totally empathize with him and wish there was more I could do to help.
Most people have heard of recycling. But did you know there are things around the house that can be reused? Here are some tips to help:
Eggshells can be used to: Make coffee less bitter and make hydrogen fuel
Banana peels can be used to: Shine shoes and fertilize rosebushes
Plastic soda bottles can be used to: Reduce your toiletís water usage, decorate your deck and substitute as makeshift dumbbells
Some people swear from personal experience that potato peels can: Help naturally darken gray hair
Fabric softener sheets can be used to: Clean soap grime off bathroom surfaces, keep bugs away from outdoor lighting fixtures and keep books from smelling musty
Newspapers can be used to: Prevent and kill weeds in the garden, clean windows and dry out wet footwear
Stale bread can be used to: Keep cookies fresh and thicken sauces
Pantyhose can be used to: Keep potatoes and onions fresher for longer and make a cheapskate soap-on-a-rope
Aluminum foil can be used to: Sharpen scissors and prevent static cling in clothing
Human hair can be used to: Keep deer away from the garden, soak up oil spills and add to the compost pile
Hope these useful tips help. Have a great Saturday!
Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.
