Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Sunday and I hope you are having a safe and great weekend. Dab the AIDS Bear and I are off and running while doing events to help other organizations before we leave for Washington, DC again.
Today, I would like to blog about a wonderful organization in Orlando, Florida called PAWS Care. Paws Care is dedicated to helping to care for the Pets of those affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer and other terminal illnesses. The following is from the website about their recent fund raiser:
Friday Night, July 30th, 2010 was the Cause for Paws benefit at Tatame Sake Lounge in Winter Park. The event was a part of the Paws Care Cause for Paws – 1st Annual Summer Pet Food Drive. We had a tremendous turn out that was highlighted by the excellent support and fantastic service from the Tatame Staff! The music was off the wall with renowned DJ Robby Clark! There was so many people who showed up to support our cause and the donations were unbelievable. Some special thank you’s to Invasion Orlando, DJ Robby Clark, Tatame Sake Lounge, The GLBT Center Orlando, Metro City Realty and Costco Orlando. We hope we did not forget anyone but thank you to all that donated, supported and participated in the event!
We would also like to thank Dab the AIDS Bear for your special support and for sending us the Dab AIDS Bear to join in the fun and pictures. Your support has been awesome as well!
We have one more month to go with our Cause for Paws – 1st Annual Summer Pet Food Drive. You can drop off your donations at Metro City Realty on Church Street in Downtown Orlando or the GLBT Center on Mills Avenue. As you know from reading my blog, I have three rescue animals so I am a huge fan of PAWS Care and other organizations which help people with HIV and AIDS to be able to keep and take care of their pets. Congratulations to them for all their hard work and to the donors who made the event a success.
Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.
