Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Wednesday and a very busy, hectic day for me.
I had trouble sleeping last night. I woke up around 3am and Gary was snoring full force like an airplane getting ready to take off. So I got up to watch Queer as Folk on the Logo Channel. They have started back over at the beginning. I think I have seen all five years worth of episodes but making sure. I think I finally got back to sleep around 5am only to have to get up at 7am.
I am getting ready for a trip to Ft. Lauderdale for the Gay Men's Health Summit and I am behind schedule. After getting up this morning, I had to go to AHF and have my blood drawn for my quarterly bloodwork. I go to see Dr. Katella in a month. Todd was there and today is his birthday... so Happy Birthday Todd! We sat and had a long talk about I was finished with Karen, the nurse.
Then it was time to run to Publix and pick up some protein bars for the trip. I also got a few things for the house. After unloading the groceries at the house, it was time to get on a conference call for over an hour. The call was concerning Ryan White funding and National AIDS policy. Great call and I am looking forward to the next one.
Then it was time to do another protein shake and workout. Today was legs and abs. I am do three sets of four exercises for each muscle group now. I do ab work for about a half hour using the Ab-Doer chair because of my back injuries. I have actually seen good results using the chair. Guess that's why this is my second model. I have been using their ab chairs for over a decade now.
The rest of the day was spent on returning calls... which I am still not caught up on... sorry if you are one of the people I have not gotten back to yet. But the phone has been ringing off the hook.
I heard from Gio and they are getting ready to book my travel arrangements for the fund raiser at the Bike Stop in Philadelphia. I am greatly looking forward to that trip. I am a huge fan of Queer as Folks which was "set" in Philadelphia but actually filmed in Canada. I have also heard great things about the Bike Stop and the owner has been great.
That is the same weekend I will be in St. Petersburg for their AIDS Walk. Donald is handling the transportation to the event. I know Robyn and Fran from ASAP are excited about us coming. I told Robyn I was having a box of Dab the AIDS Bears sent for the other walkers on their team which she was thrilled about hearing.
Well I still have a ton to get done before I can get to sleep so I will close for now. Packing, washing, etc. UGH!
Hope you have a safe and great Thursday. Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope and happiness.
big bear hug,
