When Words Hurt

Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Tuesday and I hope you are having a safe and great week. Dab the AIDS Bear and I are still working on getting back to 100 percent before we have to take off for our next adventure.

Almost everyone has had someone made them feel bad because of the words the person said to you. Maybe it was during childhood and for others during adulthood.

There is an old saying "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me." Obviously the author of this quote never had words like fag, queer, dyke, retard, fattie or other hateful terms hurled at them constantly.

There is a wonderful video which was featured on Glee I would like to share with you:

I hope you enjoyed the video. I know I loved it when I saw it on television. Much to my surprise though was when I noticed all the hateful comments posted to the video on YouTube. It just goes to show how many hateful angry people there are in the world.

So to those of you who are reading this blog and have been a victim of verbal attack, please do not let these bullies get to you. Everyone is deserving of respect and love!

Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
