A Peaceful Day
Thanks for stopping by to see what is going on in another day of my life. Today is Sunday and I am enjoying a rare down weekend.
I got up this morning, made my ritual chocolate protein shake and then started my workout. Today was chest and tricep day. I am currently doing two sets of each exercise and four exercises per muscle group. Next week, I will be going to three sets of each exercise to keep my muscles guessing which helps them grow and get stronger.
After my workout, it was time to give the dogs a bath. Sugar, the Maltese was first. She was followed by Harley, my miniature schnauzer. Chipper, my old blind long haired chihuahua brought up the rear. They were overdue for a bath so they were filthy. Sugar is even white again. LOL. Luckily they all enjoy getting a bath. Not to mention the mess they love to make running around the house afterward.
After taking a nap, Gary and I ran to the Publix to stock up on groceries for the week. Now I do not know about you but it seems my grocery bill is going up quicker than tech stock in the late 90s. Our grocery bill for two people easily exceeds $150 a week or $600 a month and that's after using coupons and specials. I do not see how a large family does it. They must spend between $750 - $1000 a month on food.
It is going to be another busy one as we try to get Ryan White funding extending past the September 26th sunset date. I honestly did not think it was going to be this hard to get the funding extending. But do to certain elected officials and groups, it is proving much harder than expected. Of course, the current hysteria generated by health care reform and the national deficit are not helping anything.
Tonight, we are going to enjoy a nice Italian dinner and probably watch a little television. Just enjoy some quiet down time together.
So what about you? What did you do this weekend? Drop me a line and let me know. Until we meet again, here's wishing you health, hope and happiness.
big bear hug,
