The program: The Pfizer Foundation prevention program. This program will focus on prevention efforting using the CDC model of Healthy Relationships. The programs runs a 5-session small group Intervention meeting of men living with HIV/AIDS. The focuses are on building skills related to problem solving, decision making, self-efficacy and positive expectations.
What the participants can expect. There are three primary goals covering three life areas:
* Disclosure of HIV status to family and friends
* Disclosure of HIV status to sex partners and needle sharing partners
* Building healthier and safer relationships.
Rules and expectations: If you are accepted into this program; you can expect to participate in surveys, one-on-one prevention sessions, group sessions and other data collection. We will be offering cash incentives for your participation at every level of this program. We expect the program to run in six week sessions with follow-up interviews at scheduled intervals. Participants can and will be referred to additional support groups based on their needs and goals.
