New Year's Eve

Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Tuesday and it is also New Year's Eve... a time for retrospect as one year ends and another one begins. I hope you have had a beary safe and great year. It has been another busy year for Dab the AIDS Bear, Dab the Breast Cancer Bear, Dab the Anti-Bullying Bear and me.

I will apologize because I have not written a blog for several weeks. Between the break up of my previous relationship at the beginning of November, getting ready for all our holiday events for children living with HIV and starting a brand new relationship; time just got away from me.

Many of you have written me asking if I am okay... since you had not seen a blog in so long. Yes I am okay and looking forward to the new year. This past year had many highs and a few lows, so I am thankful to be closing the chapter on 2013 and looking forward to what 2014 will bring.

The following is our last slide show for 2013 featuring pictures with the different Dab Bears and friends taken around the world during December 2013:

Hope you enjoyed the slide show. We would like to thank all of our sponsors and donors for our holiday events for children living with HIV called Teddy Bear Touchdowns that we do in memory of my god-daughter Candace who lost her battle with AIDS at age 4 in 1989.

Without the generosity and help of all of you, we would not have been able to continue to do these parties for the children for 24 years. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping keep the promise I made to Candace as she was dying... to make other children like her feel loved.

Wishing all of you a beary safe and Happy New Years!

Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
