Nebraska to start ADAP Waiting List
Kentucky to Follow

Welcome to another day in my life and the start of another week. I hope you had a safe and great weekend.

I am afraid I have some bad news to start off the week. I have just found out the state of Nebraska is starting an ADAP (AIDS Drug Assistance Program) Waiting List.

And another piece of bad news is Kentucky is not far behind and warning about having an ADAP waiting list.

Those of you who have been reading my blogs for awhile know how I feel about American men and women being on ADAP waiting lists so this news has really upset me since we now have three states with waiting lists. Montana and Indiana have had ADAP waiting lists since this past summer.

I am hoping since President-Elect Obama has stated action on domestic HIV and AIDS policy within the first 100 days of his presidency that ADAP waiting lists will end. Unfortunately we are at least 40 days from that dead line and during that time over 100 American men and women will be on these lists.

So what can you do to help? You can call, email and/or fax the governor of Nebraska and let him know what you think about their state having an ADAP Waiting List.
