HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARY!
Welcome to another blog entry and a look into my life as a long term survivor of HIV and AIDS in the United States.
We are in the middle of another cold front in north Florida so you know I am less than a happy camper. I have also started having some starter problems with my car so I am foreseeing a mechanic bill in my near future. UGH... there goes my tax return. Oh well, at least I have it. I know how hard it is out there for a lot of people right now.
It has been a relaxing day at home. I did my morning protein shake and then worked out my abs and did some cardio. I wanted a short workout today since it is a special day.
Which brings me to the subject of the day. Today is Gary's birthday. He turns 43 today. I asked him if he wanted to do anything special but he said he just wanted a quiet relaxing day at home. Gary works six days a week so he enjoys his down time on Sundays.
So Gary, here is a Big Happy Birthday shout out from Daddy Dab. I hope you get everything you wish for in life. You are the best. Thanks for sharing your life with me.
I am going to keep today's entry short because the Superbowl just came on between Arizona and Pittsburgh. The game is being played in Tampa where some of my friends live. Tampa is also very close to my office with AARP in St. Petersburg. If how crowded Publix was this afternoon is any indication, then there are a ton of Superbowl parties going on in the neighborhood.
I am grilling fillets and making baked potatoes and french style green beans for dinner since they are Gary's favorites. Then there is a surprise Happy Birthday football cake and ice cream for dessert.
I hope you have had a safe and great weekend. Remember to live life in the present this next week. Life is not a dress rehearsal.
Wishing you health, hope and happiness.
Big bear hug,
