Happy Valentine's Day!
Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Monday and it is also Valentine's Day! So I hope your week is off to a safe and great start. I also wish you a very Happy Valentine's Day!
I must admit I have mixed feelings about Valentine's Day. See I was originally diagnosed with GRID (Gay Related Immune Deficiency - what HIV was originally called) on Valentine's Day. So today I celebrate my 30th year of living with HIV and AIDS. But that also makes today bittersweet for me. I had lost my first partner a couple of month before hand and was told I would probably die in the next few weeks. So Valentine's Day has never been the same since then.
I also feel a little sorry for my single friends on this day. Our society is so geared toward people getting together in relationships and especially on days like today, it can make those who are single feel alone, frustrated and even depressed. So even if you are single, get out there and do something special for yourself today. Because if you can not love you then how can anyone else.
I also have the thrill of going to the dentist at NOVA University clinic today. So it just gave me one more reason to want to stay in bed and pull the covers over my head. But you do what you have to go do in life.
Hopefully, I will still feel like going to the gym and doing chest and tricep workout after I finish at the dentist. It will be bathing suit weather in south Florida in just a few weeks so I need to keep the body in shape. Plus working out is such a great stress reliever for me.
Well I am going to keep the blog short and positive for today so you can get out there and have a great day.
Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.
big bear hug,
