Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Tuesday and I hope you are having a safe and great week so far. I know I am enjoying my one down day this week.
From reading my blog, you know I am having a busy week this week with doctor appointments, fighting an infection and getting ready to have surgery on Thursday. Originally the surgery was scheduled on Monday but got pushed back to Thursday because of the infection. So I am still taking my antibiotics to help clear that up.
Had to run a few errands today after taking the dogs for one of their walks. Mailed a Dab the AIDS Bear to one of our newest Ambassadors of Hope in the Washington DC/Baltimore area. Then it was off to Publix to pick up some "liquid" diet foods for after the surgery on Thursday. Also had lunch with George and Paul at the 24 Diner. For those of you who have never been to a 24 Diner, I guess the closest comparison would be the old Bennagin's Restaurants which closed down a couple of years ago.
Then it was back to the house to take the dogs for another walk. Nothing like the unconditional love dogs give you. Sugar and Harley are always so excited to see me when I walk through the door. Sugar literally jumps repeatedly about two feet off the ground straight up into the air. LOL. Of course with Chipper being blind and deaf, he does not start barking until he either smells me or senses me near him.
I heard from a documentary film producer today. They are interested in filming my story about living with HIV and AIDS. We are looking at some time in March possibly so I told them it would depend on how I am doing and feeling at then. I hope I will feel up to doing it since it sounded like a great project.
Heard from Heather this afternoon. She was calling to see how I was doing. Told her all the latest updates and how the services are for people with HIV and AIDS down here. She filled me in on the latest news from up in the Jacksonville area. It is always great hearing from her and I miss her and my other friends terribly. She and her family are going to be taking a vacation to the Keys sometime this summer so she is planning for them to spend the night in my area and get together for dinner so we can see each other. Heather is taking my men's support group to the Positive Living Conference in Fort Walton Beach this next weekend. Sorry I can not be with them. It will be the first time I have missed the conference in several years.
Getting ready to have some dinner so I will close for now. Plan on watching some more of the Olympics this evening and hopefully getting to bed early tonight. So that is pretty much what is going on in my life. How about yours? Drop me a line and let me know.
Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope and happiness.
big bear hug,
