Moving Day

Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Saturday and I hope you are having a great and safe start to your weekend.

For me, today is a day of mixed emotions. We are doing the last of the packing of the Uhaul and also cleaning the place I have been living for the past four years. Luckily, several great friends have shown up to help. I am so fortunate to have so many great loving friends. Most of them are either HIV positive or work with my HIV/AIDS community and they are people I will miss so much once I am gone.

It is early because I am having the internet and cable turned off in a couple of hours so I wanted to get this blog done first. Hopefully, I will have the energy to do tomorrow's blog after I drive to Ft. Lauderdale later today or tomorrow morning. It all depends on the weather and how I am feeling and have the energy.

Because I have lost so many friends over the years, most of them to HIV and AIDS, I have a very hard time leaving people I am really love. So today is going to be a very hard day for me. Once I let someone into my life and heart I tend to hold them close and be very protective of them.

I guess I am superstitious but I do not believe in saying good bye or bye to people. I have had to say good bye to too many friends as they were dying. That is why I always end my blog with "until we meet again". So that is what I will be saying to my friends as they get ready to leave this afternoon after helping me.

I forgot to tell you I also had an appointment with my HIV doctor, Dr. Katella. My counts still are not great but at least they are not in the danger zone below 200. The problem is this bacterial infection I have. He wanted me to go to the emergency room but with everything going on and having to get back to Ft. Lauderdale, I did not go. Hopefully I did not make a bad decision. Luckily, I am starting antibiotics which will hopefully help with the problem and prevent a hospital visit.

Well I need to get back to work but just wanted to let you know what was going on in my life. How about you? What are you up to? Drop me a line and let me know.

One last thing... do not forget to tell the people you care about in your life that you love them. You never know when you might not get another chance. And by the way... I love you.

Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope and happiness.

big bear hug,
