It Is Going to Be a Long Week

Thanks for joining me again. Hate to start the week off on a downer but I already feel like it is going to be a long one. Luckily, I had a great weekend participating in the national Black HIV/AIDS awareness day at Edward Waters College and spending Sunday with Gary and getting reacquainted.

First, we will have to see what is going to happen with the Stimulus Bill. Seems like some want to strike HIV/AIDS funding for awareness and prevention even though by doing so it will end up with more Americans testing HIV positive. Because there will be more HIV positive Americans, they will eventually need life saving HIV medications and services which are very costly. Now maybe it is just me but it seems it would be a lot less expensive to prevent infections than have to treat them. But who am I?

Because of the stimulus bill, I have several conference calls and a couple of meetings planned for the week so we can stay on top of the situation. I will send out emails as quickly as I have solid info so you can act quickly to help prevent the spread of HIV in our country. My main AARP meeting is on Tuesday where we should receive the latest updates.

I also have to go through some testing for my HIV and see some experts. Just routine but it is time again which will actually help me with my activism since they pay for the trip but more about that later. Going to take them a copy of POZ magazine with the article they wrote about me.

We also have to get our car into the shop. Pretty sure it is the starter starting to go bad so I want to get it taken care of while I am not needing the car. Luckily the mechanic is not too far from the house.

So I am going to work on keeping a positive attitude, work to preserve HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention as part of the stimulus bill and continue to do my workouts as I get this body back in top shape.

How about you? What is your week going to be like? Drop me a line and let me know.

Wishing you health, hope and happiness.

Big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
