2008 - A Year in Review
Thanks for joining me for another day in my life. Well the new year is off to a good start.
The new year brings our individual hope and dreams to the forefront while we remember the year we just left. I found the following clip to be a hilarious look at 2008 and I hope you enjoy it.
Today is Friday and it is going to be a very busy day. I have not mentioned the following yet because I did not want to bring people down during the holidays.
My partner, Gary, just found out his mother has terminal lung cancer and is being put into a hospice. Now I will not go into all the history with Gary's family. Let it suffice to say that most men find it harder to lose their mother than their father. (Although neither is easy.)
So I have been very concerned about his state of mind. So we are going to rent a car from Enterprise Rent a Car and Gary is going to drive up to Charleston, SC where his mother lives while I get us ready for our trip to Los Angeles on Monday. Gary will be driving back on Sunday and be tired as hell but being tired should help him sleep through the plane trip to LA. (Gary hates to fly but do not tell him I told you! LOL)
There are also several other errands to run today to get ready for the trip. So while the holidays may be over, the hectic schedule of my life keeps on ticking and ticking and ticking like the Energizer Bunny.
So I hope you have a safe and great on this first weekend of 2009. Please keep Gary and his mom in your thoughts and prayers.
Wishing you health, hope and happiness.
Big bear hug,
