Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Saturday and I hope your weekend is off to a safe and great start. We are having another busy weekend.
Dab the AIDS Bear is busy doing the Ride for a Cause 9 with our Ambassador of Hope, Cathy Pickett Robinson. Dab the AIDS Bear is the official mascot of the Ride for a Cause 9 which help raise funds for Floridians living with HIV and AIDS. We would like to thank all of you who have donated toward the ride. If you have not donated yet, you can still make a donation. Every dollar counts now we have an ADAP waiting list in our state. Below is the promo video for the Ride:
This weekend, there is also a memorial banquet in memory of our fallen Ambassador of Hope, Peaches. Peaches passed away last year after battling HIV/AIDS and other complications for many years. If you are able to attend the event in Jacksonville, Florida be sure to stop by and say hello. You can also get your picture taken with Dab the AIDS Bear in loving memory of Peaches.
Then we will be off to Washington, DC for a reception at the White House where we expect President Obama to announce the National HIV/AIDS policy. We go with mixed feeling after the recent announcement of only $25 million in funding for the ADAP crisis which is not nearly enough to help the thousands of American men and women currently on the waiting lists and other HIV/AIDS funding needs.
Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.
