West Vs. Wasserman Schutlz

Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Friday and I hope you are having a safe and great week so far. Dab the AIDS Bear and I are rapidly getting ready to leave for our flight to Pittsburg very early this morning.

Have you heard about the fight between House of Representatives Allen West and Debbie Wasserman Schultz? It seems to have really hit the fan yesterday.

How angry was Rep. Allen West (R) at fellow Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) on Tuesday?

So angry, according to Politico, that he wrote in an email to Wasserman Schultz: “You are the most vile, unprofessional, and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up. Focus on your own congressional district!”

Wasserman Schultz gave a speech on the House floor earlier in the day knocking West, though not by name, for supporting conservatives’ Cut, Cap and Balance plan. “Incredulously, the gentleman from Florida who represents thousands of Medicare beneficiaries, as do I, is supportive of this plan that would increase costs for Medicare beneficiaries,” she said. “Unbelievable for a Member from South Florida.”

West also wrote in his email to the Democratic National Committee chairwoman, “You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me!”

He also sent the email to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

All I can say is WOW! The fur and feathers are starting to fly in Washington, DC. I will refrain from my own political views or opinions on both candidates at this time. (I know you are shocked! LOL)

But it just goes to show how heated things are once again between the two parties in DC while the average American man and woman has to worry about things like getting their Social Security check and affordable health care. (Oh wait. That's right, our elected officials get free health care!)

Hope you have a safe and great weekend.

Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
