July 7, 2008
I would like to thank you for joining me again. I must be honest that I have been very depressed all day so I hope your day is going better than mine.

I found out this morning that my friend, Vicki Hitzing, passed away over the weekend from the injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash which also killed her husband, David Waldron. While I did not know her husband very well, I had known and worked with Vicki in the HIV/AIDS community for several years. Vicki always went to bat for people in the HIV community and had a shoulder for them when they needed. She also served with several different organizations always a voice of leadership.

Funeral Service and Burial for Vicki Hitzing Waldron & David Waldron, Monday, July 7th, Beginning at 2pm at Arlington Baptist Church 6009 Arlington Road. Interment to follow at Arlington Park Cemetery 6920 Lone Star Road. I was unable to attend due to health reasons but I was thinking about Vicki when I knew her service was being held. I will miss her great smile and words of wisdom. The world needs more people like her.

The following is Vicki's obituary.
