Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Friday and we have almost made it through another work week. Dab the AIDS Bear is busy in Atlanta until tomorrow morning. Hope you are having a safe and great week so far.
We are still busy doing events, interviews, speeches and fund raisers. The next few months are constantly one event after another. Now we are not complaining since at least the press and media are still talking about HIV and AIDS so hopefully people are paying attention and at least thinking about being careful about catching HIV.
Here is a slide show of more pictures of Dab the AIDS Bear at a recent event:
Hope you enjoyed the slide show and pictures.
The media rush of tragedy and inspiration known as AIDS at 30 is dying down. As much as I want coverage of HIV and for there to be constant prevention messages, I am a little relieved. It is very hard personally to relive all the sadness, pain and loss of the first fifteen years especially.
I can comfortably go back to debating our current treatments and campaigns, sharing stories about my life with HIV, and wondering why the hell the media does not pay more attention to HIV/AIDS while Dab the AIDS Bear and I continue to do events around the world.
Hope you have a safe and great Friday. Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.
