Happy Father's Day
Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Sunday and it is Father's Day. So first of all I would like wish my Dad (who is with me in the picture for the blog today) a very Happy Father's Day.
I am very lucky to have a Dad who loves me for who I am. My father was raised in a conservative and civil service family so I know it was not easy accepting a gay son who just happened to be one of the first Americans diagnosed with HIV. But Dad has always been on my side and in my corner for which I will be forever grateful. Far too many of my friends have been disowned by their families whether due to their sexuality or their HIV status so I know how lucky I am to have the parents I have.
This is also Pride Sunday so I am doing my blog first thing this morning. Will be spending most of the day taking pictures with Dab the AIDS Bear and attending the parade and various Pride events.
So today I would like to finish sharing pictures from the AIDS LifeCycle 9 in California which Dab the AIDS Bear rode with the Positive Pedalers and ended last weekend:
There are still some pictures coming in from ALC9 with Dab the AIDS Bear shots so I will be featuring a slide show of just pictures with Dab the AIDS Bear soon.
For all of you, I hope you call your Father today to say hello and wish them well. For those of you celebrating Pride this weekend, I hope you have a safe and great one.
Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.
big bear hug,
