Dab the AIDS Bears Back in Stock
Thanks for stopping by to see what is going on in another day of my life. It is busy and hectic but I am having a great time with all the help we have been getting from Dab the AIDS Bears fans and supporters.
I started off my morning with my usual chocolate protein shake and did an ab and cardio workout. I keep my cardio short because I have a problem with chronic wasting. I do cardio to help my heart be as healthy as it can be all things considered. But I just feel better when I do something every day for my body. And at my age, it is a constant battle with gravity. LOL
Then it was time to work on the website and get caught up on emails and messages. Because of all the publicity for Dab the AIDS Bear lately, the emails and calls have escalated and it is sometimes very hard to keep up being only one person. But I am so grateful for all the help we have been getting since we lost our two major corporate sponsors to bankruptcy. With the help of all these great people, I have faith we will be able to take care of the children with HIV and AIDS at our Teddy Bear Touchdowns this holiday season for the 19th year. So I am very psyched about that.
See many years ago (very soon hitting the 20 year mark), I made a promise to a dying little girl who meant the world to me that I would make sure all the children like her knew the hope and joy she felt every day. I wish I could give all our children with HIV and AIDS that feeling every day. But knowing at least once a year during the holidays, our wonderful kids know people care. So thank you and a big bear hug to all of you who help make our events possible.
Gary recently found out they might be cutting his hours at work. While neither of us is happy about it at least he still has a job until he can hopefully find another one. Or maybe the cutback will only be for a couple of weeks. I know he can not afford it to be permanent or he will have to get something different even though he loves working there and the people.
I participated in an online chat for POZIAM.com. It was great seeing several of my friends. I also got to speak with Alina again. She is the author/photographer who I interviewed while I was guest hosting on POZIAM Radio about a week ago. It was a great chat but it went on so long I ended up having to sign off so I could get some work done. It would have been very easy to chat with that great group of people for hours.
Watching me some Kathy Griffin before bedtime. I love her sarcastic humor. And she has done so much for the GLBT community. It would be great to meet her in person one day and get a picture of her with Dab the AIDS Bear.
Well that is about it for me. Hope you are having a safe and great week so far. Drop me a line and let me know.
Wishing you health, hope and happiness.
Big bear hug,
