Crusaid Walk for Life

Thanks for stopping by and greetings from jolly 'ole London. Dab the AIDS Bear is in London this weekend for their Crusaid Walk for Life today. This was London's 22nd annual walk. Their motto this year was HIV and AIDS: A Step Toward Change.

It has been a great trip so far. Dab the AIDS Bear and I would like to thank our sponsors and hosts, Jochen and Adrian. Even though they have both being going through a ton of things with family and personally, these two men made this trip and wonderful experience possible. You guys rock! I look forward to spending time with you again soon. If you ever wanted to meet a loving, caring couple; I need to introduce you to these two men.

Yesterday, we rode around the city sight seeing and getting some great shots with Dab the AIDS Bear. This morning after breakfast, we headed to the tube to head for a morning stroll over Tower Bridge, then Tower Hill station (on the Circle and District lines) which was close by.

The starting point was at Potters Fields Park (that big bit of park between Tower Bridge and City Hall. You canít miss it.) And that was quite a nice crowd this year. I know I had to stick out like a sore thumb with my southern American accent as I spoke beforehand but luckily everyone was extremely nice during the whole trip. After starting off the walk; we walked with Jochen, Adrian and their friends. The walk takes you along several popular attractions.

Guess it would have been smart for me to figure out how far 10km was so I would have been more prepared! LOL. You have to remember I have not only had HIV for almost three decades but am not as young as I used to be either. So it ended up being a personal challenge to make it the whole way and was glad we did around 2:30pm. It was a great feeling of accomplishment.

After the walk, they had entertainment including Bootleg Blondie and Pink Singers who were great. It was like a huge welcoming party afterward which was a great treat for all the participants.

After awhile we were all drained it was time to head back to their flat and rest for awhile. Later we will do dinner and I will get packed for the trip home. Will be headed back to Florida soon and will share the pics after I get back and process them.

So what did you do this weekend? Drop me a line and let me know. Hope you had a safe and great weekend also.

Wishing you health, hope and happiness.

Big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
