Prevention and Condoms

Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Saturday and I hope you had a safe and great week. It was another busy week for Dab the AIDS Bear and me.

Luckily, the new laptop for the project was delivered yesterday. The hard drive on the old laptop was so full that the computer would barely run. So it was starting to stress me out trying to get everything done. We have over 300 emails a day on the project email address. I also use the computer to do our website, slide shows and social networking. So it is a huge relief to finally have the new computer up and running after staying up most of the night to have it ready to use.

I recently participated in the HINT research trial study. You had to fill out a huge question survey. Then the ones who were approved for the study had to participate in four online sessions over a two week period. Next we will have to do two more online survey as a follow up to the study.

The following video is one of the features of the study. Since the video was so hilarious and entertaining, I thought I would share it with everyone today:

Hope you enjoyed the video. Loved the fact that it featured condoms. My one huge concern with PReP is that young people will think they can just throw condom out the window and have totally unprotected sex. Then the rates of other STDs will shoot through the roof since we already have very high incidences of STDs in south Florida.

Hope you have a safe and great Saturday!

Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
