Walk With Me

Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Sunday and I hope you are having a safe and great weekend so far. This is a very busy weekend for Dab the AIDS Bear and me.

There are a ton of events this weekend including the Positive Living Conference in Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Pride here in Fort Lauderdale; the Florida Department of HIV Faces of HIV in Lauderhill and Sunrise, Florida just to name a few. So the bear is hopping from city to city so stay tuned for pictures from the events.

Since Todd and my six month anniversary was yesterday, I would like to share one of the poems I gave him:

Walk With Me

Walk with me, the path of life,
to explore every bend of the road
Enjoy with me the beauty of life,
along its wonderful way

Find comfort with me, in each other's arms,
when grief crosses our path
Find strength with me, in each other's strength,
when despair lies in wait

Laugh with me, a single true laugh,
to enlighten another's distress
Cry with me, a single true tear,
to understand true happiness

Cherish with me, the wonders of life,
as they need to be preserved
Rejoice with me, in the mysteries,
of what is yet to be

Find peace with me, in each other's souls,
when the world has gone insane
Find love with me, in each other's hearts,
until this life has been fulfilled

And when the path comes to an end
I hope we can say from within
We've known the beauty of true love,
our love came from within

Because Todd has been gong through a lot of health challenges the last few month, it probably help cause me to have a horrible nightmare the other night. I woke up crying and could not catch my breath. It just reminded me how much I love him and how empty my life would be without him.

So this is just a reminder to never forget to tell those you love that you love them every chance you get. You never know when you might not get another opportunity.

Hope you have a great Sunday!

Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
