New Dab the AIDS Bears

Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Wednesday and I hope you are having a safe and great week so far. Dab the AIDS Bear and I are enjoying being back in Florida with our four legged children and getting some rest. Thankfully, we have made it to the middle of another work week.

We are in the time of year where south Florida can get some thunderstorms with semi-regularity because it gets so hot each day. We are also having to watch the mess with the oil spilling into the Gulf of Mexico and being warned the currents could carry the oil to the beaches here in south Florida in the next week or so. Thanks ever so much BP! Not!

I do have some exciting news. We have just come out with a new edition of our Dab the AIDS Bears. In a few months, Dab the AIDS Bear will be celebrating its 30th anniversary and while I wish we already had a cure for HIV and AIDS; we are so touched at the stories we constantly receive about the joy the bear has brought to people over the past three decades.

The new bear is golden brown in color and available in three different sizes. We have nine, eleven and fifteen inch Dab the AIDS Bear available and in stock. As always, the profits from our Dab the AIDS Bear are used on our Teddy Bear Touchdowns around the world for children with HIV and AIDS.

To see our new Dab the AIDS Bear and get one for yourself, go to our Make a Donation section, page to the bottom of the page and click on the Dab the AIDS Bear section. Shipping and handling within the United States are included in the minimum donation price. For Dab the AIDS Bears being shipped outside of the United States, please email me at for additional donation amount to cover the increase on shipping and handling charges.

Because of all of you who have donated toward a Dab the AIDS Bear, we have been able to help over 9,000 children with HIV and AIDS each year with our Teddy Bear Touchdowns. Each child receives a teddy bear and at least one other gift. We also have drawings in each city for holiday food baskets and the larger gifts. Nothing warms the heart more than seeing the eyes of the children as they open they gifts. The warm hugs and thanks I get from the kids are the best presents I could ever ask for and it is because of you and your donations which make these miracles happen.

I am getting back into the gym and working on getting myself back into shape after the stroke last year. I am still working slowly to get back to the weight amounts I was doing last year and getting everything back where I like it to be. Luckily, something called muscle memory helps those of us who work out for most of our lives is a big help in getting back into fighting shape.

Since we unfortunately will be hearing from the Florida Department of Health about an ADAP waiting list starting in our state in the next couple of weeks, I need to get back into fighting shape as quickly as possible. If they wanted to see what happens when you piss a bear off, they are getting ready to find out when they start endangering the lives of people with HIV and AIDS in Florida. While it does not matter to me where the ADAP waiting lists are it is especially angering when they try to do it in my home state.

So I hope you will join your voice with mine and contact your elected officials about the ADAP waiting lists. American men and women should not have to die just because they can not afford the expensive HIV medications. So make your voice heard.

Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope and happiness.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
