Co-hosting on POZIAM Radio

Thanks for stopping by to check out another day in my life. I hope your week is going great so far. Today is hump day so we have made it half way through another work week.

Well it is still raining off and on here in north Jacksonville. We had another small limb fall off our neighbor's huge old oak tree. Luckily the dogs were not outside when it fell.

I am still getting back into my workouts after a two week break. My schedule is very busy right now so I am having to remind myself to take the time and get my workouts. Not only does it make me look better but is a great stress reliever.

I had the honor today of co-hosting POZIAM Radio with Robert Breining. His usual co-host, Jack Mackenroth, could not make the show today because of his hectic work schedule so I was glad to help out. I was excited because the interview today was with Alina Oswald whose work I totally admire and respect. She has been documenting HIV and AIDS since the 80s. Click below to listen to the interview:

Alina is a freelance writer/photographer and author living in NYC area. Her works have appeared in publications like "A&U," "NY Blade" and "Out IN Jersey" and in NYC art galleries like Visual AIDS ("Postcards from the Edge") and Leslie-Lohman ("Strike A Pose"). Her own photography show is "Backbone," hosted by 32 Jones Gallery in Jersey City. Her new books include "Journeys Through Darkness," a biography of an award-winning photographer left legally-blind by CMV retinitis and "Backbone" a collection of images celebrating queer courage, from the show with the same name.

Plus I got invited to a conference call tomorrow on health care issue with President Obama which I am very psyched about doing. So it has been a great day for me. I hope yours have been so as well.

You can also check out the front page graphics of the website and the section "Where in the World is Dab the AIDS Bear" since we have our Ambassadors of Hope traveling the world with their Dab the AIDS Bears and spreading his message of hope. I am receiving new pics almost daily so there are always exciting new ones to see.

Heading to bed soon. It has been a long but great day. Buried in emails and calls but glad to be able to help others.

Wishing you health, hope and happiness.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
