Happy Birthday to the Pirate
Welcome to another day in my life. TGIF! Thank God It is Friday! It has been a long but rewarding week if you have been keeping up with my blog entries. I hope it has been the same for you.
I spent the morning having my protein shake and then getting a chest and tricep workout. Then I had to go run some errands. Needed to pick up my black suit at the drycleaners to wear to the Mother/Daughter banquet tomorrow evening. Then I had to run by UPS and mail out another Dab the AIDS Bear. From there, I went across the parking lot to Publix to pick up a few groceries for the weekend.
By the time I got home and put away the groceries, answered a few emails and calls; it was time to pick up Gary from work. I know he is ready for the weekend also. This is his first Saturday off in almost a month.
Today is my friend's, Bob "The Pirate" Bowers, birthday. I also announce today that Bob is our Dab's Angel for June 2009. Besides being a 25 year HIV survivor, Bob also works tirelessly to prevent HIV infection in youth speaking at colleges and high schools across the country. He is also the founder and president of HIVictorious. So from us to Bob, here's a big bear hug for all you do and a very happy birthday mate! You rock! Carpe Diem
Well I am going to keep today's entry short. I am very tired and going to bed early so I can be well rested for the banquet tomorrow evening. I will be speaking at the event, taking pictures with Dab the AIDS Bear and the attendees and providing HIV/AIDS information. So I have heard we are expecting over 100 moms and daughter so I am psyched about the event.
Hope you have a safe and great weekend. Remember to make a special memory for yourself.
Wishing you health, hope and happiness.
Big bear hug,
