On the Road Again

Welcome to another day in my life as a long term survivor of HIV and AIDS. Today is Thursday and I hope you are having a safe and great week so far. It was another travel day for me as Dab the AIDS Bear and I head to another city to help our community and raise donations for our Teddy Bear Touchdowns for children with HIV and AIDS.

After getting up early, it was time to go to the airport and rent a car for a drive to South Florida. I did not sleep well again last night so the trip was a very tiring and exhausting one. Luckily, I was able to make it in one piece but even I know it is dangerous to drive on such a lack of sleep.

I did get some great news that I have been nominated for the AARP Andrus award which is one of the highest awards offered by AARP for community service week. So I felt very honored that I was even considered much less nominated. While a person should never do community service work and expected to be praised or receive an honor of an award; it is always a very pleasant surprise when you do receive such.

So today's entry is going to be very short so I can crash and get some sleep. I hope all of you have a great day. And remember life is what you make it. So get out there and smell the roses!

Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope and happiness.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
