Jingle Bells

Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Tuesday and I hope you are having a safe and great week so far. Dab the AIDS Bear and I are back home in south Florida and buried in work, emails, meetings and getting caught up after being in Pensacola for over a week.

I actually over slept this morning and did not get up until after noon. I was so worn out for the flights home I could not budge out of bed like I normally do. So I got a late start to my morning which made me miss a couple of things on my schedule like getting to the gym.

After finally getting myself up and started I tried to get through as many of the emails which had piled up as I could. Then I had all the mail to go through while I was gone. Before I knew it half the afternoon was already gone and it was time to take the dogs for their walk before getting ready to go to our meeting at Fusion.

This evening, we had our bi-monthly leadership board meeting at Fusion. Before we started the meeting, we did a video of the group doing Jingle Bells with Dab the AIDS Bear. I had received a request from Katharine McPhee to do the video and figured we would get the whole Fusion group in on the act. Dire, one of our Ambassadors of Hope, was a sweetheart and showed up wearing his bear suit to add just the right touch.

After filming the video, we got down to business. Our friends from the Broward Department of Health were there to discuss continuing the Out in the News magazine we had been doing. So there was a long discussion on how to proceed with the next issue which will be about health screenings. Luckily, most of our old writers are still interested in helping get the publication out. So we hope to have a new issue out on the stand by the middle of February.

We also discussed the recent Thanksgiving potluck dinner, the presentation from the local Credit Union and our upcoming December events. December is going to be a very busy month.

Of course, I still have a ton of work to get caught up on doing including pictures, emails, slide shows and so much more. It is going to take me at least a week to get caught up and then we will already be at World AIDS Day on December 1st.

I hope you have a great rest of your week. Wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
