Hey gang! Hope that you're having a great Sunday! It's been a real down day here. Woke up with swelling in my legs which the doctors are saying is caused by the heart problems that I found out about when I had a heart attack a couple of years ago. Nothing like a heart attack to let you know that you're not 21 anymore!
But even with the health problems, I'm so glad and grateful to still be among the living. So many of my friends died within a year of finding out they were positive. Even more friends in the early 80s made it only a few months when they found out which was usually after being admitted to the hospital for opportunistic infections.
So I stayed close to the house, spent time with my four legged kids and Gary. Worked on our Christmas and holiday cards and have those ready to go out in the mail tomorrow. Also spoke to my Dad and caught up. I'm so fortunate to come from a loving caring family.
Spent the rest of the day watching football. Luckily our Jacksonville Jaguars have come back this season and will actually have a winning year if they keep the momentum going for a few more months. Since they started winning at least they're selling enough seats at the games so the games are broadcast locally.
Tomorrow starts World AIDS Week here in Jacksonville and it's going to be a very busy week for the project and me. We're doing 4 events and participating in 3 others. Already warned Gary to take a picture to remember what I look like until after the Teddy Bear Touchdown. Luckily he's very understanding and supports what I do.
Hope that all of you had a great week!
Big bear hug,
