Welcome to World AIDS Week!
Well today I ran around like a chicken with it's head cut off. Of course on the day when I have a ton of stuff to get taken care of my body decides to revolt and have a bad day. But I had no choice but to get things done so I went to Publix, got my head shaved, had handouts printed up for tomorrow's Connection Conference, and got everything ready for the HIV awareness table for tomorrow.
It was after 7pm before I could even sit down to rest since I also had several calls and emails to return by the time I got back to the house. The whole week is going to be busy like this so I just have to cowboy up and handle my sh*t. Just wish I had more energy and hours in the day to accomplish everything that I'd like to accomplish.
I was hoping to make it to the UF Shand's event but my body just wouldn't get going in time to make it. Since they weren't doing the actual event that was advertise, it wasn't that big of a deal. Instead of the usual event for the clients, I was told this was more for management and not many children would be in attendance. That was the major reason that this project decided to do the NFAN Christmas party instead since they will have more of the children with HIV and AIDS at their event.
I will be getting to bed very early tonight. I have to be up around 5:30am which wasn't a big deal when I was younger, healthier and working daily. Now there are days I don't get to sleep until 5:30am because of side effects and health problems... but not up at that time. The Connection Conference starts at 8am so Heather is going to pick me up at 7:30am.
Hope that all of you had a great Monday!
Big bear hug,
