And the New United States President Elect Is...

Thanks for stopping by to see what is going on in my life today. Well it has been a long 20 months since the process of choosing our next president started here in the United States.

To say it has been a nasty process from the very start would be a huge understatement especially with all the negative Republican ads. Throughout the day, I must have seen 40 negative Republican ads on the television during early election coverage.

So how does this evening go?

Game on!

Two years of campaigning have come to an end. The results are going to start rolling in soon. In fact, depending on how close the vote is, you may see TV networks start reporting some results as early as 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT.

The schedule

The first polls close at 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT in most of Indiana and parts of Kentucky. We can expect the TV networks to start reporting results from certain precincts around then. Indiana, Kentucky and a series of others (including Virginia and Florida) close at 7:00 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. If a candidate in those states is winning by a large margin, you may see the TV networks begin calling a winner of those states shortly after the polls close.

Then the rest of the country will follow in their time zones with the final state of Alaska reporting their results around midnight EST.

So did you get out and vote today? I got my sticker. Did you?

There are also five other amendments we were voting on here in Florida along with several other elected positions. It will be interesting to see the results of these also so I will probably be up most of the night. Luckily, I do not have anything tomorrow until late tomorrow afternoon.

I know whoever ends up in office is going to have a rough time on their hands repairing our damaged country. Our people are hurting and scared so it is up to our next President and other elected officials to help our country back out of this mess the current administration got us into the last eight years.

I hope you had a great day and exercised your right to vote. If you did not vote then do not complain if you do not like the way the country is being run.

Wishing you health, hope and happiness.

Big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
