Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Wednesday and we have almost made it through to the middle of another work week. So Happy Hump Day!
Today is a very busy day. I have to run errands, hit the gym and then go to an art show this evening which is a fund raiser for the Trevor Project which helps prevent teen GLBT suicides. So stay tuned for pictures from the event with Dab the AIDS Bear.
Speaking of Dab the AIDS Bear, the bear was recently on a road trip with our Ambassador of Hope Zack Krieter. Here is an outline of the trip:
Zack started by trip in San Jose (7/14 @ 5pm), picking up a friend in Sacramento, then continuing onto Tahoe where we spent the first night. His friend (Brad Becker) got a ticket 4 miles from the motel (Super 8, he is in the photos).
Next morning headed out along the loneliness road in America (US 50) to Salina, UT. On Friday, headed over I-70 into Denver, Sat into Kansas City, KS where Mac G got his photo with Dabs. Sunday they made it into Indianapolis, and finally Mon into Bolivar, Ohio (Zack's family and friends). He spent 2 weeks there in Ohio. Then on Friday, 7/30 Zack headed out to Binghamton, New York to see his friend (Joe H.), then into Springfield, MA on Saturday where he remained for 3 weeks.
During the three weeks he took a trip to the Bronx Zoo, NY, Boston, MA, NYC (where I met friends and took pics with Dabs in Central Park) and to the caves in NY. On August 20th, Zack started out for Harrisburg, PA, Knoxville, TN, then on his way to Memphis, stopped in Nashville for friends and family.
Once in Memphis he stayed there for a week, before starting his trip home. On 9/27 started my trip home, which included Oklahoma City, ABQ, Las Vegas, LA where Zack returned Dab the AIDS Bear to Matt G. and then finally home into San Jose on 9/31.
You can see a slide show with the pictures across country below:
We would like to thank Zack for his help spreading Dab the AIDS Bear's message of hope across the country. It is because of great people like Zack that we are able to get the story and hope spread around the world.
Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.
