Which Cruise Line Is Best for Honeymoons?

Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Saturday and I hope you had a beary safe and great week. It is another busy weekend for Dab the AIDS Bear and me.

Now that gays and lesbians can finally get married in about 1/3 of our country, more people than ever are taking honeymoons. One of my favorite ways to travel is by taking a cruise. But what cruise line is the best for honeymoons?

Have you looked into a Windstar cruise in the Mediterranean or the Greek Islands?

Everyone has a different definition of "privacy," "luxury," and "reasonable price" especially honeymooning cruisegoers; but Windstar might fit the bill for you. It's what I personally would choose for my honeymoon.

In fact, I did, in a way: I was a guest lecturer aboard Windstar on a two-week cruise with my partner. We sailed from Athens to Monte Carlo, stopping in off the beaten path places like Monemvasia, Kefallonia, Taormina, Corsica, Elba, etc. Places we might never get back to as unfortunate as that might be. To this day we have fabulous memories from that trip.

If Windstar doesn't seem like the right fit, you can also check out Celebrity Cruise Line. I would opt for one of the upgraded suites since they are made for a king. Now only are the suites fantastic but the service from the butler to the dining room was superb.

Regardless of the upper end cruise line you choose I believe all of them have special honeymoon packages if you let them know when you are booking your cruise.

For more cruise ideas, check out Condé Nast Traveler's Cruise Ship Finder tool, which lets you search for itineraries by ship, region, and vessel size. Go to: http://www.cntraveler.com/cruises for more information.

Most of all, I hope you have a beary great honeymoon that you remember for the rest of your life.

Hope you have a beary safe and great Saturday!

Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
