Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Wednesday and we have almost made it thru the middle of another work week. I hope you have had a beary safe and great week so far. It has been a very stressful and hard work for Dab the AIDS Bear and me.
On Sunday, our Ambassador of Hope and close friend Raja Shortell passed away. While I knew he was in ICU, hearing the news of his passing ripped out my heart.
Yet another reminder to let those we loved know they are loved every time we get a chance to do so.
The following is a quote my friend Raja Shortell told me to never forget... “Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting ‘Holy shit…what a ride!’” - Hunter S. Thompson
To Raja... We have definitely had quite a ride... and you lived life to the fullest every day. I'll miss you during the last of mine but will think of you until we're all together again.
The following is our latest photo project called "Where is the Love for People Living with HIV" that Raja had helped conceptualize and was one of the first to start getting pictures in for the group:
To all our friends... remember to live your life to the fullest because none of us are guaranteed tomorrow. Dab the AIDS Bear and I are going to take the rest of the day off to remember our close friend Raja... why don't you spend some time with your special friend before it's too late.
Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.
