Today I finished getting everything ready to take for St. Augustine's Pride which is tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing a bunch of people that live there that I've known for years. Unfortunately, most of us don't make it to each other's cities often. Most of these people I've known for twenty years and they are wonderful folks.
Nathaniel and I put all the handout bags together and met about some other projects that he will be in charge of handling. Nate is a great guy who takes care of his ailing mother. You can see the love for her by the way he handles and treats her. He's a fine example of a great son.
Donna unfortunately didn't sell any bears or pins, but I can't say I wasn't surprised. To get contributions, you really have to put the cause out there and talk to people one on one. Donna is better in front of large groups. She's an excellent leader and a huge asset to Northeast Florida AIDS Network.
Came home and spoke with Heather (our COO) for over an hour about things coming up and pride tomorrow. It's been storming here all day and we're just praying that it won't be tomorrow. It is heartbreaking when you put as much work into something like Pride and then it storms and very few people show up.
Getting to bed early tonight since I have to be up early in the morning. Wishing all of you a great weekend.
Big bear hug,
