You Didn't Get Mad

Thanks for stopping by to check out another day in my life. Today is Tuesday and I hope you are having a safe and great week so far.

It is another busy week for me. Between working on Ryan White funding extension in DC and then getting ready to head to Frederick, MD, to help out with a fund raiser for their local ASO; there is never a dull moment in my life. But I count myself so fortunate to be able to help my fellow brothers and sisters with HIV and AIDS along with the organizations and health care providers who help us. So you will not hear me complain... much. LOL.

So did you get mad lately? I have. But what gets you mad?

You didn't get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.

You didn't get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy.

You didn't get mad when a covert CIA operative got ousted.

You didn't get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.

You didn't get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

You didn't get mad when we spent over 600 billion(and counting) on said illegal war.

You didn't get mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq.

You didn't get mad when you saw the Abu Grahib photos.

You didn't get mad when you found out we were torturing people.

You didn't get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.

You didn't get mad when we didn't catch Bin Laden.

You didn't get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

You didn't get mad when we let a major US city drown.

You didn't get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark largely due to the Iraqi War.

You didn't get mad when the major source of funding for American men, women and children for HIV/AIDS medications and services, Ryan White funding, almost expired on September 30... luckily we were able to get an emergency extension until October 31st.

You finally got mad when our government decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all okay with you, but helping other Americans... “hell no.”

Hope you can support Healthcare Reform. And please continue to call your elected officials about extending Ryan White funding for four years! Your fellow Americans living with HIV and AIDS depend on your calls and continued support!

Keep The Public Option Alive!

Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope and happiness.

big bear hug,
