Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Thursday and I hope you are having a safe and great week so far. Still trying to get caught up before Dab the AIDS Bear and I head back out for another weekend of fun adventures.
I would like to thank everyone for all the messages I have been getting lately. I know I have been talking about a lot of things besides HIV and AIDS this week. The recent rash of gay teen suicides have really hit home for me. It has touched me the way even my straight readers have responded about bullying in high school. Now I know bullying happens to a lot of kids when growing up. The difference is that gay teens are four to five times more likely to commit suicide. I know there were many times I felt like committing suicide my junior and senior years of high school after I was outed. So I have a soft spot in my heart for other LGBT youth having been in their shoes.
On October 20th, everyone is going to wear the color purple in support of these six men and to help stop the bullying in junior high, high schools and universities. So I hope you will show your support and join Dab the AIDS Bear and I by wearing purple on that day.
Several days ago, I posted a slide show featuring the pictures from the Lone Star AIDS Ride Dab the AIDS Bear and I did recently. Well yesterday, I received a bunch of new pictures from one of our Ambassadors of Hope. So I have edited the slide show to include these pictures.
Below you can see the new slide show with all of the pictures from the event:
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and much as we enjoyed being there and seeing old friends while making new ones. I should have the slide show done for the AIDS Walk in Washington DC hopefully in the next couple of days.
Well I need to get running and get a bunch of errands run so we can get ready to head off for our next adventures. I hope you have a great day!
Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.
