What Do You Call A Group of Baboons?

Welcome to another day in my life. Today is Sunday and I hope you are having a safe and great Labor Day weekend. It is a very busy day for Dab the AIDS Bear and me as we start making some more of our events.

Dab the AIDS Bear and I have spent three decades dealing with politicians on the state and national level. It amazes me how things how become more and more bipartisan over the past three decades. But what angers us is how this ends up hurting our country instead of helping it as all the politicians would like you to believe.

So today instead of launching onto my soapbox and complaining, I have decided to keep the blog light and humorous with something I hope you enjoy.

The English language has some wonderfully anthropomorphic collective nouns for the various groups of animals. We are all familiar with a Herd of cows, a Flock of chickens, a School of fish and a Gaggle of geese.

However, less widely known is a Pride of lions, a Murder of crows (as well as their cousins the rooks and ravens), an Exaltation of doves and, presumably because they look so wise, a Parliament of owls.

Now consider a group of Baboons. They are the loudest, most dangerous, most obnoxious, most viciously aggressive and least intelligent of all primates. And what is the proper collective noun for a group of baboons?

Believe it or not ....... a Congress!

Hope you enjoyed the above. Maybe the comparison helps explain why our country is in so much trouble.

Now get out there and enjoy your Labor Day weekend! Hope you have a safe and great Sunday!

Until we meet again; here's wishing you health, hope, happiness and just enough.

big bear hug,

Daddy Dab
